Seriously, Dogs, Teams, People, Tamales

The light emitting diodes of your life

To the gradients and the grades and the graduates

Inclined planes over inclined planes

Recycled paper, repurposed wood, seventy something-or-other

Here comes more weather everybody

Here comes the guy that invented someone because we're turning the clock back to an errant conversation. That turned the clock way way back

Sure, I'm thinking station wagon, too

But I'm also thinking Bay Bridge and rain and asphixiation

I'm thinking glass houses and impossible puzzles and what a long week for such a short month

Volume, volume, volume.

When you're surrounded by desert all you think about is water.

And they say the same about water, but they're wrong.

Some Things Because They're Quiet

Struggles rhyme with very few things and drag out over long and unexpected times.

Because they are quiet, there is an ongoing discussion of adding some sounds to electric cars.

A wooing or a beeping, maybe.

An artificial sound, they say.

What's going on here?

It's mornings. It's Sunday.

The cats are awake and doing the grooming thing

That comes in between stretches of wanting to kill things.

Because they're quiet in long grass

Because he's quiet in a perch with a bow and arrow

Because they're quiet when they're hoovering up your call data or your internet searches

Because it's quiet when it works through your blood stream

Because they're quiet the way they live in your gut but talk to your brain

Not so much talk as send signals, but you get the picture

And maybe it's all an accident but we're thousands of years past sweating intention in things like this

Aren't we

What's going on here? / Do you see what's going on here?

I could go on.

Well, They're Not Blue

One thing at a time
Followed by another thing

Quell any thoughts of spin
And shine and forks and twine

The beginning is the first layer

The last race won is the best one

Later aircraft or books on the Crimean War

Race across the desert
And another party will race across the ice

Pit one whole vs. a straggling survivor

Curtail food rations
Curtail saliva
Curtail grace and mercy and most of all most

Somebody is left in the woods and they see the sun setting

A beautiful sunset thanks to the active volcanoes months pasts and continents away

Hey, Guys. Hey, Guys. It's me. Jamie.

This is where you drink.

And awkward poses and awkwarder approaches.

There are things that eat ants and don't live here.

There is speed, but I'm sitting in bed.

There are mobile devices, but again, I'm sitting in bed.

Against evenings.

Against things we can't translate into useful English even though we live them everyday.

Or love them everyday.

And can't paint them either or make music about them or code them or even act them in a way that's going to make sense to someone else.

Sometimes there's just a lot more intersections than you are going to set up with a human who isn't battling OCD amount of time.

Sure, call it will.

I have cabbages and red patches and it is easier to tell the difference between them

Even in this light.

Pretend You See Cats All Around

Riots and people making drinks and cats all around you.

The first man to dunk a basketball followed by a sunset on fast forward.

It's probably Fall.

Lines emanate from the center, complimentary magazine subscriptions, catching up over coffee.

The way you do that thing you do with your toothbrush, streets that become one way at certain hours of the day and certain days of the week, and finding just the right shirt on a clearance rack.

The spin of a curveball.

Dark chocolate.

Make a cup with your hands.

What Do You Do with All That Hurt?

You're supposed to be finding something good on TV and all that snow out

All those things people say when people say things and there is news

The past tense, over and over

Granted, mixed precipitation

Granted, the power is still grateful

Granted, stray animals, people with even less, and pervasive imbalance

A degree for reading a buncha books vs. breakfast

And words vs. words that sound just like them

That time and rotation

That's phases and momentum

Welcome to February 2014, it'll only be here so long

The Shape

Bring. Musted. Brought. Gentle tapes, muted measures.

Finegle. Grace. Gradual vs. graduation.

Gradient. Exchange rates. The euro this and the euro that.

Escape to the south. Escape the present. Radiate presence.

Red on white. Bread products. Ever.

Pine trees in ordered lines, over hills, through the valleys, as far as the eye can see.

More of That

Never thinking of the zebra again

Tulips, tarnish, tundra

When hands shake it depends on how many folks are in the room

Mysterious seismic events out on the coast

It's Saturday.

All that time after the sun sets

All of those miles you travel week after week

All those cities where everybody gets everybodier.

Tranquil, voluntary, volumes.

Some think civilization is about resisting reflexes and making habits.

Wrestling sure was.

We meet again and again

Things You Can Take

Things you can taste followed by things you can feel.

Forward looking vs. forward leaning

Oarsmen, groomsmen, sentries, second chances.

I Have All You Guys

That's what vs. this is many

Backyards full of shrubs and fences

Maple trees yield maple syrup like something you remember

Playground after playground, we make our way west

The right pants will keep you where you belong

Organ music vs. chord organ music

All the answers, right there at your fingertips, and the sun is setting and the tide is doing its thing

Seagulls. Sanctuaries. Semblance.

Sweet ride.

Maybe I Wake Up Early

Sometimes I wake up early more than sometimes

Oft'times should catch on so it sounds even better

Things are buried until they are better

Sometimes I wake up early and read a bunch of little things on the Internet

I should plan better and have things at the ready is the opposite of I should plan more I think

I wish I had a fuel meter and even better could just sleep when it was at low

I wish I had an off switch and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's wished that about yours truly

I wish someone would end the tyranny of cause and effect many have tried

That's all I've got for now, back to cats soon

Always meaning everything
